Another Step Closer

I am getting closer and closer to having everything in order for the fun of my Grand Opening on 8/30/10. I registered for my tax paperwork yesterday, it is all so confusing! Hoping I have everything I need in order. I still have a few more crafts I want to complete. I am also thinking applying to attend the Right Whale Festival in Jacksonville Beach in November. It is a goal & would be a crazy and great experience.

I know there are things already up in my Etsy shop for sale but there will be more to add for the Grand Opening & look forward to give aways all day (here and on my Facebook Fanpage). It is going to be a day of fun.

Here are my answers:

1. What is your favorite flavor?

When I think of something that you get to choose your flavor I think of ice cream, that would be cake batter, but for anything else I would have to say banana.

2. What was your favorite subject in school?

I would have to go with math since it came to me so easily. I hated science.

3. What are some of your hobbies?

I love anything that gets my creative juices flowing, sewing, painting, building, sculpting, I enjoy it all. I also love, love, love to shop.

4. Do you prefer fruits or vegetables?

I would have to say vegetables, I don't always want something as sweet as fruit & enjoy munching on quite a few raw vegetables.

5. What color of eyes do you have?

Green. Or blue if you are my husband, lol, the further you stand away from me they more blue they look. I have only ever seen them green though.

Accomplishment & News

I am proud to say that I have 25 fans of the A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That Facebook Fan Page! This allows me to add a personalized name behind the .com. Now you can easily search for ALBT2's Facebook page by just typing in www.facebook.com/ALBT2 How easy is that!

Now for the exciting news. I have officially decided to kick my butt in high gear and move my Grand Opening to August 30, 2010. That only leaves me a little under 3 weeks, but I have faith.

I also want to let everyone know that they DO NOT have use Etsy to purchase items, nor do you have to even purchase an item online. I plan to post all items on ALBT2's Facebook page as well, and all you would have to do is send me a message to reserve or request an item. I can also sell everything in person. I will accept PayPal, checks, money orders (though checks & money orders must clear before I can release merchandise) and cash.

My First Sale & Looking Forward

I made my first sale! I am still working out a few hiccups on how to smoothly run the Etsy system but they are minor and I am learning quickly.

I have also been working hard on getting my opening merchandise all finished and ready to go. Look forward to more wallets & small bags (such as those for make-up), children's hooded towels, banks and bows, painted glassware & a few other things - I can't let out all the good secrets. Things are moving along so great I am even thinking about moving up my opening date to around the end of August.

A New Start

I figured since I am embarking on a new endeavor with my crafts that I should also have a place that I can share not only my crafts and how my Etsy shop is coming along but also share my ideas as a wife and a mother. I plan to share and document as many ideas and memories I can including dating, relationship, and parenting ideas, DIY projects, monuments, news, polls and even GIVE AWAYS!
